Fort Deposit, Ala. – [May 27, 2026] Cloverleaf Infrastructure, the development company behind the proposed Red Clay Data Center planned for Lowndes County, will host a community open house event at Hayneville Middle School on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 PM CT.
The open house will give Lowndes County residents and members of the community the opportunity to learn more about data centers and the plans for Project Red Clay. The open house will be staffed by the Cloverleaf team and local subject matter experts who can speak to key topics including water, energy, noise, lighting, economic impact, and more.
The project represents a major capital investment for Lowndes County which will result in tax revenue that will support infrastructure, government and community services, and schools. In addition to substantial tax revenue, Project Red Clay has pledged to invest $10 million in the community through the Central Alabama Community Foundation to support Lowndes County initiatives that align with local priorities, such as emergency services, workforce training, childcare, and programs that help reduce household energy costs.
Project Red Clay will create more than 1,000 local construction jobs during the three-year construction phase and is expected to add hundreds of permanent jobs in Lowndes County once completed.
Subject matter experts will be stationed at informational tables to answer questions one-on-one, listen to feedback, and provide information about the project. This is a free, come-and-go meeting with no formal presentation, and all community members are encouraged to attend who desire to learn more about Project Red Clay. Refreshments will be provided.
